SOFT TISSUE RELEASE

Unfortunately, well-structured training is only part of the game. Yet, imbalances still creep in. A slight pelvic tilt or tiny spinal rotation can offset your entire physique and bias certain muscles over others, creating chronic tension and imbalance. Everything is connected in the human body - a stiff foot arch can manifest further upstream as tightness in your glutes, and so forth.

Training alone can sure make you stronger - but if you're constantly stiff, stuck in questionable postural alignments and in pain, then something's not right. No one likes stretching, but it's important. No one likes an elbow in their calf, but it's also important.

Massage isn't just about mindless pressure and enduring as much discomfort at you can. Using my understanding of movement patterns and biomechanics, I ensure that every session is purposeful and targeted, identifying the root causes of your tension and restrictions.

Here's a case study - my own spine.   While years of training have made it stronger, I do have very mild thoracic scoliosis; and while for the most part it doesn't bother me, I do need to be very aware of how it affects muscle recruitment patterns. Some days I stand with one shoulder much higher than the other, sometimes it's alright - especially if I've had some soft tissue work done on it!
